Gæðingur Brugghús
Gæðingur Summer Balls - 5% - Tékkneskur Pilsner
BRAGÐLÝSING
Golden, unchallenged. Unsweetened, lightweight, medium-wait. Grain, hey, grassy citrus tones.
SUBCATEGORY - PILSNER
These beers have a sweet malt character, sometimes with a hint of butter caramel tones and a few bitters from hops used, but not decisive. German Pilsners are lighter and less bitter as the Czech ones.
PARENT GROUP - LIGHT STOCK
Light stock is the most popular category of beer today and dates back to the city of Pilsen in the Czech Republic. These are sub-fermented beers and are as the name suggests lights or gold in colour and most types of flavour, however with exceptions. Most commonly, wine spirits concentrations range from 4.5% - 5.6% but there are species that have lower intensity or greater intensity. Light stock beers are supposed to be fresh and steep and flavor is characterized by the grain used in the production of beer, quite a lot of foam, and rather small to medium bitterness. Hops are used as a counterweight to the sweetness of the malt liquid.
