Gæðingur New Sweet England - 6.0% - Session N.E.I.P.A

FLAVOR DESCRIPTION

Light golden, cloudy. Sweet, medium-bodied, bitter. Citrus, tropical fruits, grassy hops.

SUB-CLASS - NEIPA

New England India Pale Ale is a beer style that has seen a lot of growth in recent years. These beers are characterized by a lot of hop character due to the dry hops. This results in a lot of tropical fruit character along with a rather low bitterness compared to traditional IPA beers (although not universal). Producers often use wheat and oats, which gives an increased mouthfeel, and one of the main characteristics of these beers is that they are very cloudy in appearance due to the fact that they are unfiltered.

SUPERIOR CATEGORY - IPA

This category includes all beers that qualify as IPAs, whether they come from the United States, the British Isles or elsewhere. IPA or India Pale Ale is an ale that has its roots in Great Britain and today is characterized in most cases by a very distinct taste of the hops used in the production. Flavor characteristics can e.g. have been citrus, resins, and tropical fruits and usually contain quite a bit of bitterness. Wine concentration can be from 4.5% to 10%.
